Other Medi-Cal Programs, Services, etc., and Doula Services

Here we list a few of the services that may be relevant for the stakeholders involved in PATH, including primary care practices (e.g., family medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN))

 

  • Doula Services

    • All Medi-Cal members who are pregnant, or were pregnant within the past year, can benefit from receiving doula services from a Medi-Cal enrolled doula provider. The standing recommendation authorizes the following services: one initial visit; up to eight additional visits that may be provided in any combination of prenatal and postpartum visits; support during labor and delivery, including labor and delivery resulting in a stillbirth, abortion, or miscarriage; and up to two extended three-hour postpartum visits after the end of a pregnancy.

  • Ages 26 through 49 Adult Full Scope ​Medi-Cal Expansion. DHCS. “Beginning January 1, 2024, a new law in California will allow adults ages 26 through 49 to qualify for full-scope Medi-Cal, regardless of immigration status. All other Medi-Cal eligibility rules, including income limits, will still apply.​​”
