Part II: Implementing Naloxone Distribution Systems

Audience: This webinar is appropriate for program managers and others responsible for the implementation of naloxone distribution systems/OEND in any capacity in their community. The webinar will contain information on the Implementation of OEND systems in California, including the following:
Setting the context: review of opioid overdose in the US, California, and your local community, history of OEND and evidence base for providing naloxone to laypersons.
The nuts and bolts of naloxone distribution: we will examine the legal, policy and logistical issues related to distributing naloxone, including operating under a standing order, stocking/storing naloxone, etc.
Tailoring OEND to your community to make the greatest impact on overdose deaths using best practices.
